Announcement: This edition of BLK Events LA’s Juneteenth events calendar will only be posted to our newsletter. I want to acknowledge Mayor Bass’s absolutely ridiculous DTLA curfew occurring nightly from 8pm to 6am. The unrest in Los Angeles is by ICE, the LAPD & the US Military. Our community protesting is NOT the problem!

That said, the LAPD is actively arresting non-residents who are in the area after curfew, so please exercise your discernment when going outside. Many of the parties listed are in DTLA or the Downtown Arts District, and they may either be postponed OR moved to a new location. I’ll be sharing those updates as I see them in Instagram stories.

I’m also sharing resources in our Instagram stories for folks who are targeted by ICE and those who are protesting! There are MANY WAYS to resist, including protesting, providing care, raising money, donating & volunteering. All are valid, and all are needed.

We did this for the LA Wildfires, and we will do it again, and again, and again.

6/11: RunGood Weekly 5K Run & 2-Mile Walk at The WalkGood Yard in Mid-City ❤️✨🤝🏾🗓

Join WalkGood LA for our weekly community run or walk! There are 3 paces to choose from—Olympic Pace (7-9min miles), Sexy Pace (9:30-12min miles), and Walking Pace (which is led by yours truly!)

6/22: BLK Events LA’s 2nd Black-A-Versary Bazaar at The Plant Chica in Leimert Park ❤️✨🤝🏾

BLK Events LA is turning TWO YEARS OLD & we’re celebrating with a flea market! Experience my FAVORITE Black-owned businesses all in one place + some delicious merch you won’t want to miss!
